Brothers Artie Mortensen and Rocco Rufrano revently won awards for their rides at the
2nd Annual Police Motorcycle Skills Competition, Car and Montorcycle Show at
the Whiskey Cafe in Lyndhurst. Each won 1st Place in their respective categories.
All proceed from the event went to the NJ Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics NJ.

Glenn Toepert was recently honored with an appointment to the State Committee
of the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics NJ. The State Committee is
responsible for planning and carrying out the various fundraising and awareness campaigns
including the Polar BEar Plunge, Lincoln Tunnel Run, Golf Challenge, Plane Pull and of course
the Torch Run for Special Olympics NJ in June.

Honors and Awards Given at the Annual Beefsteak

The 2007 beefsteak saw several awards and honors given to members of the club.
Mike McCarthy was awarded the Youst Memorial Award for the Oustanding member in the
chapter. He was also honored as the winner of our inaugural "Polar Pig" Winter Riding Award.
George Manuel was presented with the High Mileage Award for the club in 2007.
